Ian’s personality lives at the crossroads of dreamer, sensitivity and over the top.
Ian Fay has been connecting the worlds of creativity and technology since he was a youngster in
East Tennessee. With mixed roots in film, music, performance, and tech… for Ian, everything
became a production. After college, he focused on web, digital media, and video as creative vehicles
for his productions. Ultimately, the intersection of visual communication and storytelling became his
niche, and he went out on his own to form his boutique branding firm, Saint Gorilla. In 2006, he moved
to DC to add strategic communication services to his Saint Gorilla portfolio, serving clients like
Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, GE Rolls-Royce, and the US Navy.
In 2012 he formed The Lookout, a digital production collective in Adams Morgan, with fellow filmmakers
and entrepreneurs that flourished to over forty video and digital content companies. In early 2014, Fay
co-founded a Charleston-based streaming video tech company called Infinite Takes, bridging his
passion for technology and video. Their products were a live streaming gaming network for
true, low-latency interactive live video, alongside an enterprise live streaming platform supporting
the professional sports organizations NFL and NBA, and major brands Volkswagen, Volvo, AT&T,
Amazon, and Pandora.
In 2018, Ian launched Lookout Productions, a company that harnesses his experience, passion, and
resources around live, traditional, and interactive video production. Ian spends most of his time producing
videos for national and DC-based organizations. He is also an Executive Producer, and sometimes actor,
of independent film projects. In his spare time, he enjoys being a dad and tending to his urban farm.
